Love this stuff! Built a smaller cedar picnic table for my children. I wanted a matte finish that would preserve the natural look of the wood, and that would be easy to touch up in future years. Used Cosmobois to touch up some of the holes and checking, then used D1 until the wood couldn’t take any more. Sitting out in the direct Arkansas sun in July, it looks great! Used a little more than a quart, partly due to a slightly punky are in the wood that kept drinking the stuff up. Really penetrates well. Looking forward to ordering more next spring to touch it up.

We have been using the Deks Olje system (D1+D2) for about 3 years, methodically converting all the teak brightwork on our 48′ sailboat over from another system. We like Deks Olje because it’s easy to use and gives a wholesome natural luster that lasts the season. In our experience, no product last more than 12-18 months in sunny climates, and Deks Olje is on the lower end of that spectrum. However, upkeep and maintenance treatments seems much easier to do than for other products, and so is cleanup, which is why we’re sticking with Deks.
