Our customer Dale had a faded Sunset Trail Reserve RV that was in need of restoration. He decided to use Polytrol and was so happy with the results he shared with us some before and after pictures.
As you can see, the sun had faded the surface and made it dry and chalky looking.
Dale said he was very happy with the result and that Polytrol is an ‘excellent product!’
One of the best things about Polytrol is that it is so quick and easy to apply. It works by penetrating deep into the surface to re-wet pigments that have dried out due to UV rays. Once these pigments have been re-wet, the original color and shine of the surface is restored.
Polytrol Application in 4 Easy Steps:
- Thoroughly clean the surface in which you wish to treat and allow it to fully dry
- Apply the Polytrol with a brush or lint-free cloth
- Wait 10-20 minutes
- Wipe off the excess and leave to dry
If you are looking for a shiner finish, you can also buff the excess off with a clean cloth. As Polytrol is not a coating and instead a saturating oil, it is important that the excess is properly removed before leaving it to dry.
Very faded surfaces may require a second application.
What can I use Polytrol on?
Polytrol is very versatile and can be used on a wide variety of surfaces including plastic, metal, composite wood and more:
- Garage doors
- Composite front doors
- Outdoor furniture
- Car bumpers
- Car bodywork
- Boat gelcoat
- Restoring the shine to metal fixtures
- Tiles, stone, terracotta, marble, slate, etc.
Please note that Polytrol cannot be used on any white surfaces.
